Thank you for taking the time to view my work I hope you find something here that appeals to you.
Although I have taking photos in one way or another since the early 1980s I didn’t become interested in photography as an art-form until 2017. Up until then my inspiration for taking photos was to record adventures, rock climbing, hiking and touring.
Since 2017 photography has taken on a new appeal with my interest turning to creating art particularly in the form of photographic prints, while I still take images to record trips I find myself always returning to seeking the artistic expression for my images.
What inspires me is the natural world of Australia its here that I see the miracles of life, its raw beauty, its power, its serenity and I endeavor to convey this feeling in some manner within my images.
Rocky coastlines, mountains or deserts they all have a unique beauty of their own and provide their own unique inspiration each presenting its own challenges along with its own unique rewards.
I prefer a more traditional approach to photography and avoid the use of AI and other digital enhancements as I prefer my images to represent a record of an actual scene at that time.
I’m blessed to share this world with a wonderful person, together my wife and I have collected 45 years of wonderful memories our adventures have taken us along with our 3 children, rock climbing, caving, hiking and 4WD touring together we have crossed deserts, mountains and roamed Australia’s coastlines it has been the most wonderful journey and one that continues to this day.
Although I am essentially an amateur artist I do produce a range of prints for sale they can be viewed in my Print Catalogue.
